About the talk: In this talk, I’ll go over the common Unix tools used for manipulating text files: cat, grep, head, tail, sed, etc. I’ll demonstrate how most of the simple text processing tasks like searching, filtering, changing format of text can be performed by piping some simple Unix utilities.
